Department Summary

The Department of Management offers undergraduate students a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Management with concentrations in: General Management, Marketing, Global Management, Information Systems Management, Human Resources Management and Operations Management.

Essential Duties

Responsibilities
• teach 12 credit hours per semester at undergraduate and graduate levels in the following areas:
o operations management
o supply chain management
o quality management
o logistics / transportation management
o global sourcing and procurement
o business analytics
• engage in curriculum and course development
• serve as a faculty advisor to management students
• demonstrate continuing scholarship and professional development
• participate in university, college, departmental and other service activities

Required Qualifications

• earned Ph.D. or D.B.A in operations management, supply chain management or closely related business field. ABD candidates will be considered if doctoral program requirements will be completed by August 1, 2018. Candidates with an earned doctoral degree in a related non-business field will be considered if candidate also has an M.B.A. or M.S. degree in a business field.
• teaching experience at the university level

• ability and commitment to teaching quantitatively-oriented courses and conducting applied quantitative research
• ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning
• evidence of scholarly activity
• ability to work collaboratively
• ability to communicate complex concepts
• commitment to public higher education and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity

Preferred Qualifications

• teaching interest and expertise in business analytics and/or information systems especially as related to supply chain management
• relevant industry experience
